The Improved Palmer Square

For this unit called "Flow" I was assigned to choose a neighborhood and improve its surroundings or the neighborhood itself. In this unit, we learned about different cities and how their cities are built and why. We learned what is good and bad about our city and what is urban planning itself and how that influences in our city and neighborhoods. I chose Palmer square in Logan Square because it's a huge park in a walk-able area. I am most proud of completing my model on time and choosing this area in my neighborhood. The most challenging about this action project was improving the place I chose because it's so big.

The five improvements I chose to add in the neighborhood was:

• Benches 
• Skate Park
• Gated Park
• Water Park
• Basketball Court

The reasons why I chose these improvements were because Palmer Square Park is extremely huge and filled with trees, path ways and plenty of beautiful grass. The middle section of Palmer Square Park has sort of a play area for children and the rest of the park is open for any activities. Since there's a lot of free space I decided to put a basketball court on the left side of the park. A skate park by the children's playground with benches. 

The Circuit

In this unit "Power" in Urban Planning we learned about two types of circuits. Parallel circuits and a series circuits. We also learned about electricity itself, electrons, magnets, static electricity, Tesla and Edison. I was assigned with a partner to build a parallel circuit with five resistors. My partner and I created a parallel circuit with a motor, main switch, two resistors and a speaker. We were also told to choose household appliances for each of the resistors that our circuit had. I am most proud of getting all five resistors and completing my prep worksheet. The most challenging part of this action project was to make a parallel circuit. Enjoy!

Bridge

For this action project, urban planning I was assigned with a partner to create a bridge with inspirations of the bridges we had took a look at in our FE. We learned about different shapes and angles. We also learned about Newton's Law of Motion, Law of sines and cosines and vectors. The bridges we looked at were truss bridge, suspension bridge, beam bridge and Arch bridges. What I am most proud of is getting my bridge, sketch and the mathematical portion done on time. The most challenging things was building my bridge and getting the math part together. I am proud of the research I did, in order to understand how bridges are made and also to build the best bridge possible.

My partner and I were inspired by the truss bridge we had observed. When building our bridge we used triangular shapes because we learned in class that triangles are the strongest shapes. As I built my bridge I had some difficulties with gluing the sticks individually onto the bottom cord. The reason why I had some problems was because I didn't make a triangle that overlapped the Popsicle sticks.

          

Book Bag Time

In my Light, Sound and Time class I was assigned to invent a time-telling device that is better than what’s already out there. The time-telling device that I decided to do was a book bag that tells you the time by the hour with a light that flashes from the straps which will vibrate too. The most challenging thing was getting the math part together and figuring out how to show the math concept for this device. What I learned from this was the different ways that time can be told or recognized. I learned that sun’s shadow can tell you the time wherever you are if you measure it right. What I am most proud of is choosing my time-telling device on time and not making it so complicated.

                                        Book Bag Time

The time-telling device I chose to do was a book bag. The straps of the book bag light up within the hour. How the book bag lights up is by the warmth of the human body, it will also vibrate when the light flashes. When the book bag is worn, the book bag then activates itself when it starts receiving the body heat from your body. For example, if you saw that the time was 2:00 pm and your book bag straps light and vibrate up that means it has been an hour meaning it’s 3:00 pm. This book bag is also a timer, you can plug your earphones into your book bag and the device will let you know how close you are getting from your time being up. How my device shows Light, Sound and Time is, with the energy that the book bag is receiving from your body the book bag will light up when the time has changed. The timer has a programmed speaker so when you plug in your earphones the speaker will tell you how much time you have left from what you put the timer for. Last but not least, Time; every time the time changes by the hour the light and vibration from the straps will let you know it’s been a full hour.

My device is meaningful and effective because instead of wearing a wristwatch, you can simply tell when it hits a different hour when the light flashes and when you feel the vibration on your shoulders. You can also put in a time you have to be somewhere and it’ll let you know when your time is up. As I was researching about book bags, I found that book bags were started to be invented in California by two couples named Dick and Nena Kelty. The Kelty’s started making bags in their California home in the early 1950’s. As I was researching, the article said “the unassuming Kelty backpack signaled a paradigm shift in backpack design by prioritizing three fundamental modern concepts”:

3. User Experience is Important

How my device solves common problems today is by the light that flashes and vibrates because the light flashes when it’s been a hour. If you know what time it was before you won’t have to check your time. The timer is just regular but you can also plug in your earphones and it can tell you how close you are from the time being done. Teenagers and people with low hearing or that are blind today will be able to use these book bags.

My Diddley Bow

For this unit called "Sound" we studied about the sound in frequency, wavelengths, amplitude and harmonics. Then the class and I went on a field experience to the Threshold Acoustics we learned more about how the frequency and wavelengths in sound can change with their surroundings. For this action project we were assigned to make a guitar off of recycled materials like a tin can, a piece of wood and a guitar string. What I am most proud of is getting my guitar done on time and having all materials that I need for my guitar. I am also proud of learning how exactly sound travels through a guitar. The most challenging thing was getting my guitar string to tie around the screw. The purpose of this project is to create your own guitar using recycled materials or old scraps from home.

I learned the different parts of a guitar and how it works with the sound when the strings are being played. How the guitar works is the tin can will allow the string to enter and produce the vibration/sound of the string being played. Which bounces inside the tin can producing the sound to come out. My guitar demonstrates these key science principles which are sound waves, wave lengths, frequency and amplitude.

Sound Wave: When the guitar string is being played/touched.
Wave Length: When or how hard you're playing the string.
Frequency: How frequent the sound is when you play the string.
Amplitude: How high the string is moving.

How I found the measurements for my Diddley bow was, I used a ruler in inches. I measured the string which measured in 7 inches. I divided that into harmonics in which I wrote down onto the wood to show where the harmonics are on the Diddley Bow. The thickness of my string is 0.038 inches. The approximate volume of my Diddley bows body is 28.5005 inches cubed. I used pi x r2 x h which I then got pi x 1.44 squared x 4 3/8. Also the approximate wavelength and pitch/ frequency of the four harmonics of my Diddley Bow

How the Doppler effect shows on a Diddley bow is with the sound that comes from the string which goes through and enters the can, bouncing off of the can which amplifies as the sound that comes out.

Pinhole Camera

For this course "Light, Sound and Time" This unit is called light, it’s about the history behind light and how light works, how we perceive light and how light travels. We learned the different principles that have to do with light. My class and I learned how to measure waves, crest to crest and crest to trough. We also learned what is refraction and what refraction does to light and objects. This course was mostly about light, we were assigned to make a pinhole camera to see how light works on a pinhole camera and how the camera works by itself. I learned a lot of math and the differences on light and how it can affects what we can see and what we cannot see, because of refraction on light. The most challenging thing was the math part in the process on making the pinhole. Putting the math in it's right places was the most difficult and looking for the tangent.

My pinhole camera is made to take pictures, how my camera will take pictures is by letting the light through the pinhole that was made in the front. My pinhole camera will not perform refraction because it only happens when light is on one medium to another and my camera will be surrounded by air therefore, there is no refraction when light tries to go through the pinhole. How the camera will take a picture is by having photo-sensitive paper inside the pinhole camera, how it will be developed is by a dark room so that the picture doesn't ruin. It will also be developed in some special chemicals and then you have your pinhole picture. The reason why I covered my pinhole camera with black paper was so that the photo-sensitive paper wouldn't shine light to it and ruin the photo-sensitive paper.

My camera demonstrates light which equals energy, I chose this principle because the photo-sensitive paper will be get the light from the pin hole and it will develop right after it gets in the dark room. I measured the pinhole to the back which was 4 inches, pinhole to the bottom was 2.5 inches and the complete height of the water bottle was 10.5.

When I placed my pinhole camera in front of the brat doll with the lights, I uncovered the pinhole and let the light go through so that the photo-sensitive paper can develop once I covered the shutter. The shutter speed was 3 minutes and covered it with duck tape and took my camera into the dark room so it can develop. This is the results that I got with the pinhole camera. If I could do something differently would be the time, because maybe if I left it longer my picture would've developed better and it would look more clear. I would also know the angle I would put my pinhole camera because as you see in the picture above it looks sort of slanted.

The Queen Piece

For this Elective term I took a class called Rapid Prototyping and I was assigned to make a chess piece with a classmate and design our piece in three types of ways. The three types of ways were building the chess piece of clay, then cardboard and finally on a online digital 3D website to be then printed. What I am most proud of is my three models that my partner and I made for this Action Project. The most challenging thing about this project was creating the digital piece on the website called Tinkercad. It was so frustrating because some of my pieces were floating and weren't in their place. I think the most easiest thing about this project was building the clay model piece, it was fun and easy at the same time.

The Creative Letters

For this Elective term, I am taking a class called Rapid Prototyping. Rapid Prototyping is to learn and create things with the idea of math and connecting lines and different types of shapes to your creation. For this first Action Project, I was assigned to choose two letters and make a design with the letter chosen and also the material that was given. The two letters I chose was "J' and "r" the materials that were given to me were vinyl and tin foil. I am most proud of making my letter out of tin foil because it was so difficult to cut by machine than by hand. The most challenging thing while creating the letters were figuring out the shapes to cut from the machines. Also, cutting the tin foil by hand was a struggle, everything with the tin foil was hard. The Homeless In AMERICA

For the third unit of this course "Rhetoric" the assigned project was to choose a important social issue to you and design a art piece, poem or audio/video to present your social issue. The purpose of this action project was to show your artwork and change people's minds of how important the issue you chose is to you. The topic I chose was the homeless in America, because homeless are the most stereotyped human beings in the America's. I want to be able to change the way people think about the homeless, because if I was in their shoes I would want some support or someone to help me, notice me. I am proud of the topic I chose and being able to express the way I feel and helping out the homeless to get the real meaning of what homeless people are and what they go through every single day, where we tend to ignore because our minds are too caught in the fact that each homeless person in America is a drug addict, has domestic violence records, financial issues and are too lazy to get a job. Here is my art piece that I hope will change the way you think about the homeless here in America.

 I am JR and the topic I chose was "The Homeless In America" The reason for choosing this topic is for the way the homeless were stereotyped on websites like Huffington Post and the main stream media. As I read on a website, a statement came up and triggered me to think about the homeless differently. The statement was " Admit it: when you think of a homeless person, a certain stereotype comes to mind. A middle-aged to older man who's addicted to drugs and too lazy to get a job. You think it's their own fault that they're living on the streets." I totally agree with this statement because I have thought like that about homeless people whenever i'm outside. This is the reason why I chose this topic. Homeless people go through so much and I just want to put their mindsets out there so people know that they are not homeless because of what we immediately think when the word homeless comes to our mind. I want to be able to present my artwork and make a change in America.

 The art piece that I created was a cardboard poster with a quote, question, a mirror and facts and take one cards and a suggestion box for the homeless people. The reason why I chose to present my art piece on a cardboard poster was because the majority of homeless people write on card board to speak to people around them instead of going to each person asking for help or money. Some people are not always interested in speaking with homeless people. Some people find it very awkward and weird. The quote is to inspire people who read the quote and to give them a inspiration to change and think of homeless people differently. The mirror is to look at yourself and picture yourself in their shoes. Looking at yourself is to imagine yourself in their same situation and not judge no matter how bad their situation can be at the moment. The about me cards are to take with you and know more about the person and the homeless.

 The question is to make you think deeply, change your mind about the homeless being stereotyped and helping them how they should be helped no matter their situation. The colors that I used are Black, Red and Green. Each one of these colors represent a topic Black is the most written color on a cardboard poster when I see homeless people with their posters. The quote is written in black to make it stand out. The Red is the question of how deep it can be to a person and painful, showing a little bit of pathos. The green is support/ help / important. I have done research on just homeless and the rate of how many people become and actually move on with their lives. It just frightens me to know that young teenagers are also becoming homeless. Like, I definitely don’t want to end up in a situation like that at all. This makes me want to help out more.

Young people often become homeless due to family conflict, including divorce, neglect, or abuse. A large majority of young people experience short-term homelessness, returning back home or to family/friends. The medium that I chose to grab the audience's attention for the social issue. I picked a cardboard poster which resembles everything about what homeless feels like and what we should do to help change that. What inspired me the most was Marvin Gaye and his song “Inner City Blues” which he depict on the ghettos, economic, about the America.

 “The United States government acknowledges four categories of people who qualify as legally homeless:
(1) those who are currently homeless
(2) those who will become homeless in the future
(3) certain youths and families with children who suffer from home instability caused by a hardship.
(4) those who suffer from home instability caused by domestic violence.”

 These are facts that I would like you to know about the homeless in America.

•  "On a single night in January 2014, 578,424 people were experiencing homelessness — meaning they were sleeping outside or in an emergency shelter or transitional housing program.

The C.O.O.L Lopper

For this course, Design & Engineering. My partner and I were to choose a tool at home depot that most stood out to us. We brainstormed ideas to redesign our tool in a less stressful, painful and simpler way for the elderly. We chose to research the Lopper, a cutting tool. The most challenging thing was thinking of a way to upgrade your chosen tool and making it better. What I learned from this action project was the different ways designers think and how they have to make prototypes to see if the consumer like what they created. What I am most proud of is our redesigned tool, I actually thought the lopper was already simpler. Making it simpler was the hardest but you learn so much and get very creative.

My partner and I decided to give The C.o.o.l Lopper wheels, there's actually three because we thought that having two wheels was just going to be unbalanced and not still. So it's actually easier to move around. The wheels also are water resistance so it can be in water and it won't slip and has lots of rubber. We added a height adjustable stick to change the height of the lopper any way you want it to be, it's also rotatable. The stepper attached to the bottom is to open the blade when is pushed down and when you let it go it will cut and will also close the blade. On the side of the lopper we have firm jelly handles for the elderly's hands. We made it that way so that it wouldn't put so much stress on the hands when trying to push down the stepper. Inside the legs and stepper we have a pulley system which is connected to the lopper whenever it's opening and closing.  On the bottom of the blade, when the stepper is pushed and release to cut there's a bumper that stops the blade from going too far.  We made it so that it's light and the elderly won't have to make so much effort and strength to drag the tool around the garden. The legs and handles are foldable for storage too. The other Loppers that have been upgraded were very different. Some had bent handles for better comfort and leverage. Some were smaller to carry around and easier to cut.

Everything has been redesigned is for the elderly, so they can feel comfortable and not left out, because they're older. Even though they have made plenty upgrades we thought this lopper will be more effect-able and more usable since it has more gear and it's not that heavy and it can be moved around easily. The existing examples of the original lopper is

• The handles are designed to give the person more leverage, a better grip.
• The lopper has a bumper that is used when doing force in, when cutting which prevents you from crushing your fingers together.
• The maximum cutting capacity is 1.5 & the blade is curved to make the cutting more efficient and smooth.

The C.o.o.l Lopper demonstrates empathy by making people feel an emotion of the experience and putting themselves in someone else's shoes. Knowing that the tool is made for the elderly, they get a better understanding of why the tool is designed the way it's designed. This quote “I love to cut branches, weeds and grass” is relevant to this tool because the lopper is used to cut branches and small things.

The Border ______ Disorder

For this Action Project, I was assigned to choose a disorder from the DSM-V which stands for "The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder". As, I looked at the topics of disorders Personality disorder caught my attention because I feel like some of my friends have a tiny bit of it. At first, I thought that this disorder was a changing personality disorder but not into a demon/violent way. What I am proud is to know more about this disorder and hopefully knowing a person and help and support the person. I am also, proud of taking this class because I find it very interesting to know more about diseases and learning the difference and how many disease their are.


The Borderline Disorder

The Borderline Disorder is a huge part of the Personality disorder. I chose this one because I feel like I have experience a little of what the effects are of this disorder but i'm not diagnosed, thank god. Also, because my friends also seem to have a little bit of the disorder too. The Borderline Disorder tends to get the person very upset, angry, unstable emotions and moods. They can be easily shifted. Sometimes it's very hard to keep calm and stay from getting angry. The borderline disorder is another cluster from the personality disorder that people usually have, that's why I chose this topic because as I read it seemed to be very familiar and easy to express. The also tend to, see the world black and white it makes it easier for them to not misinterpret the actions and the motivation of others. Sometimes they tend to act impulsively because of their moods and emotions. Having this disorder makes me feel very different because I feel like if I feel this everyday feeling down, having emotional feelings different moods all the times will put me depressed and very annoyed.

Lupus

For this unit of this course was called body my class and I were assigned to choose a disease that someone has or know that you can interview. I chose to interview my sister because she was recently diagnosed with Lupus. As I did some research I kind of figured what were some symptoms and affects to this disease so it made it more easier for me to introduce this disease. What I learned from this Action Project was that it's actually not a great feeling to go through any disease. Which I knew, but,  this interview made me really realize how much change a disease can do to a persons life. A disease that will never go away, if it doesn't have a cure. It's just hard to think about, hard to think about the struggles in your life, hard to know that your not going to be able to do things like before. What I am really proud of is doing the interview with the right person which was my sister that I love dearly. I learn so much more and now I understand so much more than just what is pain. I wish I could walk in her shoes to feel what she feels when she is in pain.

Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that happens when your body immune system attacks your own tissue and organs. The inflammation that occurs in the body can affect lots of the body's organs and systems like the kidneys, brain, lungs, brain vessels, blood cells, joints and heart. These organs and systems play a big part of Lupus that increase the risk of getting cancer. Lupus is really hard to diagnose, but some signs of Lupus are fevers, butterfly facial rash, chest pain, shorten of breath, dry eyes, joint pain stiffness and swelling, headaches, confusion and memory loss. Lupus is not contagious, some people are just born with the tendency of developing Lupus. It can be triggered by certain drugs, infections and sunlight. When my sister was diagnosed with Lupus, my family and I were confused because no one had Lupus in the family. We didn't even know what was Lupus, until we were present on days that lupus activated in my sister's daily life. Her body over night will swell up making her unable to get up from bed because of the swelling and pain on her joints all over her body. She, sometimes had to stay still to breath, because she was short of breath all the time. My sister's fingers, were always a problem because in different occasions her fingers won't go up or down because of the stiffness on her fingers. While sleeping during the day or at night, she will get chest pain that would tighten up her chest that would make her out of breath also. When the family will go out to the beach sunlight was also a problem for her because she had to shower herself in sun block before going all the time. From night to day her parts of her face will get very red and slightly itchy. Her feet will swell really bad too, like if she was pregnant. This disease really changed my sisters lifestyle and the family because now we have to be precocious of everything and always be with her on her bad times. Some treatments that she is taking are insulin and pills for her diabetes and more pills that control the high blood pressure. She has taken chemotherapy only once for the first time in her life. During chemo it effected her eye, which busted one of her eye vain which was very painful.

R: Lupus has changed my life drastically, emotionally and physically.


Q2: Have you had any follow up disease, after being diagnosed? If yes, which ones?

R: Yes, high blood pressure and diabetes because lupus effects the internal organs little by little.


Q3: What went through your mind when being told you were diagnosed with the disease?

R: The first thing in mind was that I was going to die, I thought that there was not going to be a cure for it and that it was going to consume me very slowly.


Q4: What were your first symptoms that made you get immediate help?

R: I noticed that my finger tip were getting swollen, warm and painful.


Q5: What treatments or medication have you taken?

R: I have taken 1 dose of Chemotherapy. The medication that I am taking now are Prenazone, Vitamin c & d, Plaquenil, and Micro Phenolate.

The SETTING!

For my electives term class Stage Chemistry I was assigned into a group of our choice and discuss a plan about the Christmas Carol setting. As we discussed our plan we said we will build a model into three parts and those parts will be past, present and future with little details attached to each of these parts of our model. The group struggled a bit but in two days we got most of the props done for each sections. I am really excited to see how this model will turn out at the end, with all the other models.

As we settled into groups, each group had a job and those jobs were theme, settings, characters and props everything that basically makes a theater. I was put in the settings with three more other students to work on this part of space of a theater. For the first part we started with lots of stuff like how the model will look and be designed. So we started off by choosing the three top important roles that the theater will need so we went with

Each one of these roles have a need and concern as you see above. We chose these roles because we thought it would fit perfect with each of the parts that the group decided to do for the model. one student built the house that separates into two which is pretty cool. Us girls built the round circle to make three sections off of it to represent each of the three settings of the play. So, we started with that and well we kind of just started from the draft model and made little things like chairs, stoves, and bushes. We added a huge model to the model that was made to look like a barbie house. We decided to use it at last minute because we were running out of time but it was a really good model to show how scrooge's inside of the house looked. We build little descriptions for the house which looks pretty cool and after I thought it wasn't a great idea it turned out it was a good one.

The Stage Designer is suppose to have appropriate design for the time of the arrow of the play. Have lots of safety with the sets and props. The crew job has to be done right in order to look good. Also, have the correct appropriate equipment for the stage. 

The Director is in charge to always have a finished script for a show to run. Rehearsed actors is really important for this role because without the actors not practicing what they have to do makes the stage performance look very crappy. It's a really big part of being a director and making the actors take this role of rehearsing their scripts and acts. Any injuries and understudy is also very important because if they get injured this goes to the director's responsibility. Everyone's job being done on time.

The Crew/Tech always have to be careful with setting things on stage and while performance is on play. Safety for the sets, props, swifts and people. Fit and timing with light and sound. A Backup electricity generator for the lighting and sound. Also, have everyone trained so they know what to do with the lighting and sounds which is a really big part also for a stage.

My Model Stage: Stage Chemistry

For this action project we were assigned to build our blueprint that we were also assigned to do for the first AP of stage chemistry. My first AP I chose to measure Fasseas in Menomonee Boys & Girls club. I Basically Measure throughout card board and cut and built Fasseas Stage that I drew on my blueprint. What I am most proud of is to have my stage built before everything is due and well, because it was a fun AP. As a follow up with my previous Action Project (Link) I had turned my blueprints into an 3D model, that you can locate below in a series of moving pictures.

For my first motion that I chose was a trap door that I cut in the middle of my stage. I chose to cut it in the middle of  my stage because I thought  it would be cool to have a person go through it while performing to get the audience to react some type of way. This trap door is made for actors (people) to make a good way out of the stage more like disappear. While someone is going through their scene they will usually go through the trap door to not make a plain exit from the stage, and they will usually end up in the bottom of the stage. As you can see on these to examples of the trap door on my stage this person weighs 135 pounds and the force being made on the trap door is 600.507 newton's same as the upward force on the trap doors. The way I found out how much force was given up and down the trap doors, with the persons weight. The person weighed 135 and so I multiplied it by 4.4482 and got 600.507 newton's which is the exact force for both ways (up and down).

For my second motion I chose was a pulley. I put my pulley above my stage so it can look like a real pulley and for the people that will be using it. I added a chair on the left so that a person can pull the person up and down and make it look like the person is above ground. Usually the person will wear a belt and that belt will be attached with the pulley to bring the person up and down. To make this pulley I made a hole on the top of the roof of my stage and inserted a loop to put in the rope to give my pulley some action.

Trap Door Safety Rules:

• Make sure your on time to go through the trap doors.
• Be careful how you land.
• Make sure the trap doors are unlocked.
• Fall the proper way in case something goes wrong.
• Trap door must be clear from the bottom (besides something comfy to land on) and top.
• If done using the trap door, please lock it so no one falls through it while walking on stage.
• Make sure their isn't nothing blocking the trap doors on stage.
• Don't fall head first while going through the trap doors.

Pulley Safety Rules:

• Make sure that you belt is clicked on and working good.
• When above ground don't touch the belt or release the buckle.
• Don't pull or grab on to the pulley rope.
• Don't get distracted while your about to get pulled up.
• Make sure to get your harness on before getting pulled up.
• Don't perform a weird stunt that will get you tangled while above ground.
• Chair man has to be strong and not get easily distracted.
• Make sure your weight is checked before using pulley.

I used my blueprint to build my stage because when I created the blueprint with the measures of Fasseas and I needed those measurements for my stage. I also included a roof and also made my stage hallow so that way I have a better view of my trap doors I put on the top of my stage.

The Famous Theater

For this class Stage Chemistry I was told to pick an available space, to create my own theater. I measured the space that I chose which was Fasseas from Menomonee Boy & Girls club. I thought that picking Fasseas will be a good idea because I go to school everyday, might as well pick a place where it’s big and enough people can fit in. Fasseas is part of Menomonee where GCE staff and student usually meet for morning meetings. As, I measured I had to create a scale for the blueprint I had to create for Fasseas, and this is my explanation of my blueprint and micros.

Stage
The stage is located inside of Fasseas, in which is accessible to a lot of outlets, and the light and sound box that isn’t going to be a problem with a lot of cords in the way. The performers won’t trip on their way in to the stage. The viewing angles of the seats are very good, no matter what seat you choose to sit at.

Snack Bar
The Snack Bar at Fasseas will be located inside of by the seats and stage inside. Any beverages or any other snacks will be purchased before the start of the film or performance. After film or performance is starting, there will there will no longer be a Snack Bar. When film/performance is finished the Snack Bar will re-open again. There is also permission to take beverages and snacks in the theater only, if you bought from the Snack Bar after purchased.

Ticket Booth
The Ticket Booth will be held beside the entrance of Fasseas doors. Each ticket will cost more if closer. The VIP seat tickets are $25 dollars, 2nd row is $20 dollars, 3rd row is $15 dollars and 4th row is $10 dollars. Every person who purchases a ticket, they will get a 50% discount for children ages 3-7 years old (If they have children). The children are free to watch film or performance.

Coat Rack
The Coat Rack is located further to the left of the Ticket Booth. For every ticket a person buys they will get a 50% discount on the coat rack for children ages 3-7 years old. Now, all adults coats, jackets will cost $1.00. Their will be a person in charge of taking all coats, they will punch a hole in your ticket to let them know they have your coat so their responsible because your paying for your coat to be put away.

Light&Sound Box
This is the Light and sound box located inside Fasseas close enough to the stage. The Light and Sound box is basically the the electricity box. The Light and Sound box will power all the lighting and sound while film or performance is being done in session. This box will give the light that they audience will need such as the sound also so people won't have trouble listening or watching anything on the stage.

Preparation Hall
The preparation Hall is the hall beside Fasseas other exit door. I chose to have this part on my stage so that the performers or film takers can get settled and ready. This is a huge opportunity for all actors and and film takers, since their isn't curtain to block the stage in the front, just like most stages. This is also a better way to make a good exciting entrance to grab the audiences attention. Preparation Halls can also be to practice your roles/scripts whatever that needs to be done will be set in Preparation Hall, even for taking deep breathes before starting.

Poverty

For this course, Populations last unit on if/then was based on over population and how it effects the world. I was assigned a project, to choose a topic on which applies to population growth and how that will also reflect on it's symbiosis. I chose poverty because I am more familiar with this topic and I like talking about it.

The symbiosis that will apply to poverty and the two interacting parties will be competition. The reason for choosing competition as the symbiosis is because United States and Congo are in competition of lack of jobs. The more the population grows the lesser jobs people have, which will make it harder for people to look for one.

Cynthia: Certainly NOT! Good luck finding one.

Kevin: What do you mean?

Cynthia: Well, there aren’t enough jobs offerings for the amount of people here.

Kevin: Really? How do you know?

Cynthia: Look at the population and economy right now! Do you really think we have job offerings

for 7,125,000,000 people?

Kevin: Woah! that’s a lot of people

Cynthia: Did you know that the population in 2050 will grow to a maximum of 10 billion people, which people would want jobs and be in competition for jobs.

Kevin: I never knew that? tell me more.

Cynthia: it’s true and now people are going to struggle because of the lack of jobs that is going to happen from then to 2050. If I was you I would start researching and looking for jobs quick.

Murphy On Mars

For this class "Population", The unit From/to was based on the difference characteristics of animals and about natural selection. I was assigned to choose an animal that will be able to live in Mars. While I searched on the Anti-cruelty website, I thought to myself I will need a pet that will be furry and have long legs. As I scrolled down the page of dogs I saw a male dog named Murphy. I picked him because he had a somewhat thick coat and large legs. He is a Terrier/mixed and 9 years old. The purpose of doing this project was to chose an animal that best suits to be in Mars and so I did.

Mars is a planet made up of a iced rocky hard surface all around it. Freezing cold and dusty, it's also the fourth planet from the sun and the second smallest planet in the whole solar system. Mars can also be described as the "Red Planet" with a thin atmosphere.

I made a good and bad list of what is good to have and what's not good to have in a dog in order to survive in Mars. Murphy is a Terrier which means they are typically developed in Great Britain and Ireland. Some Terriers have large legs and bodies which are used for hunting badgers. Long ago, Terriers were crossed with hunting dogs, fighting dogs and others Terriers. They were mostly breed-ed with Hounds which is a type of dog that assists hunters by tracking or chasing the animals being hunted.

As you see here, Murphy has a lots of fur, large legs and medium size body. Which was something I was looking for in a dog. All these great features that Murphy has can really help him live in Mars. Having lots fur can keep him warm, large legs can help him run and heat up his body and from predators, and medium size body can also help because he's not to huge or too small an probably won't get tired fast. What I was not looking in a dog was no fur, short legs and no small body.

I took data from another 15 mixture of dogs on the website and collected all the years and found Murphy's Standard Deviation.

The Aye-Aye

In this class, which is called "Population" a combine science and math course. We are studying the natural selection, the theory of Charles Darwin, and Taxonomy. Learning the scientific names of animals that we chose and their kingdoms. The purpose of this project was to create a collage of scrap paper or magazines to create your mammal or reptile and caption their kingdoms and know their scientific name. What was difficult was trying to get the right colors for the animal to make on the poster.

The animal that I chose for this AP1 for Population was an Aye-Aye.  I researched it and found out its kingdoms and scientific name. This animal lives in forests in large jungle areas. It's scientific name is Daubentania Madagascariensis.
